These gourmet jams are made from recipes featuring high quality fruit and 100 percent all natural ingredients. They contain no artificial colours or additives, no high fructose corn syrup and are free of preservatives. Bonne Maman is nut-free and gluten-free. This delicious jam comes in many flavours: strawberry, raspberry, fruits of the forest, blueberry, cherry, fig, blackberry, marmalade and peach. The jam is beautifully packed into a 370gram jar and retails for $5.50. We love the strawberry jam on pikelets and the blackberry jam on toast. We also make a beautiful Victoria Sponge Cake filled with the lightest of whipped cream and ruby red cherry jam.
- 1 cup self-raising flour
- 2 tbsp caster sugar
- 1 egg lightly beaten
- 3/4 cup milk
- Combine flour and sugar in medium bowl. Gradually whisk in egg and milk to make a thick, smooth batter. Avoid over whisking.
- Drop dessertspoons of mixture into a greased heavy-base pan. Cook until bubbles begin to appear on the surface of the pikelet. Turn and brown other side.
